  • Can you make my Instagram blow up like Gary Vaynerchuks?
Sure- if you have the drive and hustle of Gary as well as an extremely large budget for video production, boosted ad spends and will put in the time to write content daily and record new videos. This is not included in our base level practice management social media program.
  • What sort of results can I expect?
To add a new question go to app settings and press "Manage Questions" button.
  • Can you get me booked on national TV shows?
Medical Practice PR specializes in digital public relations, content creation and social media management. Our base level PR packages do not include national TV booking. We have booked clients successfully on television shows, but if you are looking for continuous national coverage, this is an add-on option and you will work with one of our chosen TV booking partners.
  • Can you make me the next Dr. Oz?
No. Dr. Oz has spent years building out his brand. The results he has achieved will not be achieved in 6 months. If you are looking for instant, overnight fame, we are not the best fit. We work best with clients who are not looking to be the next medical "star," but who genuinely want to educate the public about health issues and stay in the news. Our mutual goal is to build out the overral visibility of their practice. We are not talent agents.
  • How long is the contract for?
Our contracts are between 6 months to 1 year for public relations. If you are looking for consulting work for a PR strategy or Social Media Management strategy for your practice, we can work on a shorter term engagement per each deliverable- typically between 6-8 weeks for each deliverable.
  • Is it okay if I respond to you 3 hours later for incoming media requests?
No. Unless you are in surgery or with a patient, we need you to promptly get back to us when we reach out for a media request. It is extremely hard to secure media requests. When we finally do get them, we need you to do your absolute best to respond to us. If a reporter wants a quote from you, they typically want it yesterday. We need to make sure we have access to reach you for incoming media requests- typically via text, email or cell. If you turn down media requests, it will be very hard to build your brand or get you quoted.
  • Can we pay per placement?
Unfortunately, no. We work the same way many other public relations companies do- on a monthly retainer. On average, we typically secured between 3-5 media placements per month for our clients. However, none of that is guaranteed. There are many variables when it comes to PR- the news cycle, politics, what's trending, etc. Some months, you will receive more hits than others- but it will always even out. This is also why our engagements begin for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year- to ensure you get the best chances for coverage. The work is the same on our end whether the placement comes out or not. Some companies are able to work on a "pay to play" model, but we are not one of them. We find that our clients are also happier with the retainer model versus a pay to play model because they know we are working for them every month. With the pay for performance model, clients can often feel like they are not top priority.
  • Can my office manager be your daily point of contact?
Yes! We understand how busy you are. If you have a trusted office manager who can handle daily approvals for social media, we can work alongside them. However, any article creation, media interview answers or copy that contains medical content MUST be approved through you. Office managers cannot respond to media requests. We take our media relationships very seriously and will not put anyone in contact with the media until they have been vetted as a trusted source. Their time is also limited, and we will only have them speak with you directly.
  • Where are you located?
We are located in Westchester County, NY and Manhattan, New York.
  • If we hire you for content marketing, can you ghost write content on my behalf?"
We are not a content farm. One of the things we pride ourselves in is that any content that comes from our clients has been written directly by them, in their own words. We can guide the content process along by suggesting article topics and editorial content calendar management, but we will not outsource your content to a third party. Our clients only want content that is written by them. We do not belive in researching content online and submitting it to you to fill up your blog for the month. We believe in quality over quantity. All content that we touch, edit or distrubute must be written by you and edited by us. We will not distribute any content if we suspect it has come from an outside party. Your blog content is also used by the media- so in order to ensure authenticity, it absolutely must come from you with our guidance.
